Fees & Confidentiality

  •  - up to £40.00 per session for Individual Therapy for Adults & Young People
         - up to £55.00 per session for Relationship Counselling
  •  sliding scale is in operation for those on low income
  •  Fees are negotiated in the initial assessment & are payable within each session arranged. 
  • Sessions not attended will be invoiced according to the cancellation policy below:
 
The cancellation policy is that appointments that are changed or cancelled within 2 working days are subject to 50% of the agreed session fee, as are missed appointments.

The information you supply to this service will be treated confidentially & you will be informed during the contracting process how your information will be used and your rights regarding storage and erasure of your information in line with new Data Protection legislation as of 25th May 2018.

Counselling takes place within codes of practice where certain situations of serious risk (e.g. harm to self or others or risk to children) may need to be disclosed with others, normally following discussion with and permission of the client.  However if the counsellor has cause to believe someone at risk of serious harm, he/she has a right to break confidentiality without consent being given.

 

This is a highly confidential service adhering to the Codes of Practice of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy


 

Complaints Procedure

Working in line with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy’s Codes of Practice, means Blossie Pearce Counseling always ensures that the Counsellor adheres to the association’s guidelines namely the ‘Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling & Psychotherapy’.  However, if a client, has a reason to believe they have been unfairly treated or subject to malpractice, they are encourage in the first instance to raise their complaint with the counsellor who will endeavour to resolve the matter.  If the client feels the matter is not resolved they are .advised to make a complaint through the BACP Complaint’s procedure, which can be found at www.bacp.co.uk    01455 833 300
